I know most of us (if not all of us) will buy this product....we're Pinheads and we must have them all! I've bought all the Pinball FX2 tables and I hardly play them, it's like an out-of-control obsession with me

I think we're safe to continue making our little 'tributes' without affecting sales of these new games. And like Steve said, we have an enormous amount of talent here so if push did come to shove, we could easily create our own original tables.

Now if only we could find a talented programmer to create a new engine for us (or somehow persuade Black to come back) Hey, we could even start our own pinball making company.....and sell them ourselves!

Don't forget the ROI (return over investment). I'm not sure that if you pay the license fee (to gotlieb, ...), create your engine (take time, so money), find distributors, dealing with some more legal stuff (attorney, book-keeping, ...) is worth the time and money and, at the end, if it's even a "viable" enterprise.

Farsight are not newcomers, they are using an engine developped through several years (and simply "updated" with some new stuff - the biggest one seems to be the physics engine that have been rewritten from scratch). They probably have money dedicated to investment ... that's probably why they won't have the time nor the money, to add all the needed "eye and hear candy" I was spoking about in a previous post.

Dual Monitor Support in the plans!! Was pumped to see on the Facebook webpage yesterday that Farsight is purchasing a cabinet system and are seriously looking to build in support for video Pin Cabs (2 monitors). They were iffy before but the fact that they are paying $$ for a Cab is a great sign. They mention that the PC (360 and PS3) release is in the end of March but Cab support would most likely be a software upgrade post the launch. I am looking to get a cab so the more options for Pinball (FP and Farsight) the better.

Well in that case, they should visit our forum first and ask if we want a job. (big bucks) I'd like to think like that?

I'd be surprized if they don't already know about FP or VP.
Still, a bit of discretion might be wise? The attention gained might be of the unwanted variety. You never know.
